You might be asking yourself the question “Will my seafood arrive frozen”. In most cases, your seafood will arrive in a completely frozen condition. However, sometimes your seafood may arrive in a partially thawed state due to high temperatures, shipping delays, or small order sizes. Regardless, this should not be a concern for two reasons. The first of which is that we process the seafood fresh and freeze it only once (for shipping purposes). Resulting in a quality product that has not been exposed to multiple thawing and refreezing cycles. Additionally, we individually vacuum pack each portion into its own sealed environment allowing you to freeze this seafood, if cool to the touch, without any quality loss.
In the rare occurrence where there may be a significant delay in delivery and the seafood is no longer cool to the touch, consumers should immediately discard the package. While this almost never happens, please do not file a claim with FedEx directly but contact us immediately. The reason for this is that FedEx requires the customer to provide the invoice and claim information for customer-initiated claims. We are able to expedite the claim process with the carrier and in many cases provide replacement products and shipping before receiving claim approval.
We schedule shipments using the following guidelines to ensure the quality and freshness of our products.
Fresh/Frozen fish is scheduled on Monday – Wednesday for overnight delivery.
While we schedule Smoked products are to ship on Monday and Tuesday for 2-day delivery. Orders that we receive after 9:30 am PST on Tuesdays will ship on Wednesday. We strongly recommend you place your smoked order prior to this to allow a buffer for carrier delays.
